About Koojan Downs Feeding Facility: Koojan Downs feeding facility is located 20kms from Moora and 160kms north of Perth. Koojan Downs is part of the integrated beef supply chain for Harvest Road. This integrated beef supply chain ranges from north to southwest of Western Australia and is based on best-practice ecological planning and animal welfare management. The Opportunity: We are currently seeking enthusiastic and energetic Feedmill Hands to support in the production and distribution of sustainable stock feed across the feeding facility including the operating of feed trucks to complete daily feeding of cattle. Working on a 10:4 permanent roster , you will be a part of a team to operate the feeding facility near Moora, WA . This is WA’s largest feeding facility and is designed to supply Harvest Road’s processing facility, Harvey Beef. Please note: These are permanent positions, those on short term/working holiday visas will not be considered. You will need to have a current driver’s licence and own transport. Key responsibilities include: Driving/operating feed trucks and mixer bins to load feed, mix and deliver. Operating front end loaders, telehandlers and tractors with attachments. Perform safety and maintenance checks on machinery before and after operations and recording and reporting of any issues. General machinery and feedlot maintenance. Follow industry best practice to minimise risk to the health of livestock. Carry out samples and testing on commodities and check that they are within specification. Our ideal candidate will have: A current manual driver’s licence and own transport. Strong focus on safety, animal welfare and bio-security standards. Initiative and problem-solving skills. Flexibility in working hours, including weekend work. Physically fit to meet the inherent requirements of the role, including manual handling tasks. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data. Moderate computer skills. Ability to carry out instructions.
